It Doesn't Get Funnier Than This |
|
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/scarce/completely-predictable-sarah-palin (for video) Robin Roberts asks Palin about the controversy surrounding her hunting on her reality show, the criticism from Aaron Sorkin, PETA and others. Sarah responded as expected. Palin on GMA, " would never shoot an animal for its fur or for fashion". In the background, a bearskin rug complete with head.

Either she is shooting something to kill it, or clubbing it, or there is someone else in the background killing something, either a turky, or perhaps just a dead bearskin on the ground. Omen?

16. well that's kinda inherent in the whole "pardoning the turkey" farce |
|
the entire exercise is a perverse joke when any president or governor does it. turkeys are being slaughtered all over america, and it's a cruel joke that the president/governor is going to use their executive pardon power to spare this one or few turkeys, while of course doing nothing for the rest of them.
palin's video where the slaughtering was going on in the background was more obvious, but no more ironic or cynical than when obama or anyone else does it.

8. But shooting wolves from helicopters is perfectly acceptable. |
|
Just hack off the foreleg and leave the rest of it.
Wolves are far more noble than most humans, family is everything, they will sacrifice their lives without hesitation to protect the pack.
And they don't hunt and kill for fun and profit.

I'd puke upon entering that house.
I eat (very little) meat and wear leather (I do eat cow), so I'm a bit of a hypocrite on this issue, but, as the poster said above, "overkill illustrated."
Poor bears. :(

The poor cat died in a storm, and he fell into a culvert like cement thing, they could not rescue him in time, the water overcame him and washed him downriver. He drowned. And he was only a 6 month old cub.. I was fortunate to get the skin from this sweet feline,I cleaned it,tanned it and there were no marks from anything like a shot or trap. The night I got him home he gave me a beautiful dream he took me to his mother's den I was there with his brother. It was wonderful.
I sometimes in winter if I find a roadkill fox or whatever I take it and tan the fur and bury the body so it will not be sent to a rending plant,or smashed over and over by cars.I have done beautiful things that honor the spirits of the poor critters that got killed.
If I cannot save the corpse from rot,at least I can drag it to a place where it can go back to the soil.
One time a bird was hit and another bird was hovering around it crying,it was risking getting hit too. So I ran to a nearby wendys and asked for a plastic bag,I ran back, took the dead bird off the road,my hand inside the bag,I ran with it up an embankment, making sure the dead bird's mate saw where I was going,I carefully placed the dead bird in a safe area, placing it on it's side tucking the wings in.I put the dead bird where the bird that was alive could mourn without getting killed too. After I left the dead bird ,I was like 5 feet away as the mate flew right to it's mate, now both were safely hid in bushes behind a sign.I walked down the hill tossed the bag in the dumpster went back into wendy's washed my hands and felt so sad.
If you walk everywhere like I do alongside highways and roads that sometimes have a bit of woods you would be shocked to see how much cars injure and kill the animals,it's tragic and horribly violent..

31. Her Supporters Are Just As Dumb As She Is |
|
I posted this video on my Facebook page, and I got this response from a Sarah Failin' supporter:
"I love this! Notice the condescending way the interviewer refers to the "high-powered rifle!" Do they really think it would be better to shoot an animal ten times with a pistol rather than once with a high-powered rifle?? Really? God provided the animals for us for food and warmth. I am thankful for them and for the hunters who keep the animal population in check humanely, keeping many of them from starving to death."
Birds of a feather, I suppose. Thank heavens that poor bear didn't starve to death, what with all the bear overpopulation going on and all. Because starving to death is bad, but having your head blown to pieces by a Half-Term Half-Wit is OK.
