"have never been so optimistic about my country and world"
This said by my son tonight..has several grad degrees on middle east and two thesis studying here and going overseas. Knows more than any talking expert on tv. Has been so despondent for years and today said the above to me. Coming from him it's huge.

2. yes..hour long lecture
on history of middle east leaders ect. For him to feel so strongly makes me feel hopeful. Obama it is said was "ecstatic" first day of news.

5. Now comes the hard part
Mubarek says he isn't leaving until the fall. The people say he must leave now. They just turned the internet back on in Egypt and the fact of the matter is, the Egyptian people are scared. They are asking for the US to provide them with help. I don't know if our government will do that. We need to pressure them to do it.
