Dennis Kucinich tax cut vote? |
|
Did he vote "aye"?
I use to have handy links to the Senate and House voting but can't find them.
Any one have these links?

5. There are many unemployed people in his district. |
|
That's all the reasoning needed. He represents the people in his district, and acted to help them. In addition, there are many employed middle class workers in his district. They need the lower taxes this bill provides. Why anyone is surprised at his vote I cannot understand. Dennis Kucinich serves the people in his district. You know...the ones who elected him.

8. No, just a typical money-party Democrat... |

They all appear to be "Cave" men and women. Republicans make one angry, Democrats just make one sick...

7. While I oppose the whole tax cut for UE deal, |
|
the way I see it is that the way it went down, i.e. through negotiations between the WH and the Republican leadership without involving the Legislative branch, had the effect of putting a lot of good liberals in a terrible bind, and many felt it was best to swallow their objections and vote for the bill rather than see people starve. I think Kooch, Franken and a number of others voted their consciences on this issue.
I recognize that there are going to be times when their decisions are not the same as the ones I might make, but that doesn't mean they have sold anything out or that they have lost their principles. They just see things somewhat differently than I do, and make the best choices they can.
I reserve my ire for the people who made the deal without involving Congress until it was time to present them with a fair accompli. Obama gave away the store for reasons I can only (darkly) speculate about.

...for the DU Dream Ticket. At this point, after votes and expressions of support for Obama and/or lack of interest in running, we're down to Warren Mosler and Elizabeth Warren. And I'm not sure Mosler's a Democrat.
