As usual, protest and revolt raises the status of women and builds solidarity and understanding between women and men.

about their own safety and that of the children and having the women answer in terms of the community and the country.

who were very active in the revolt against the Shah. Didn't quite work out for them, though.

It's way too early to know how this is going to work out for the women or anyone else. All most of us can do is hope.
