He's finally gotten congress to work together to get stuff done. Repealing DADT is another major accomplishment, and you brush it aside like it's nothing! No, we're not going to like everything that comes out but at least progress is being made. Sheesh! Maybe it's you who is disillusioned?

The discussion that drew me to becoming part of this forum was about my expectations of the new president. It was but months into this administration, and I knew he had been handed a mess rivaling the size of the one in The Cat in the Hat. Banks and jobs and foreclosures and questions of criminal behavior from the previous landlords. So I didn't expect a speedy return to my bill of rights, but the machine and its minions are an insistent lot, and as of now that particular battle goes in the wrong direction, if policy with Wikileaks and the TSA is any indication. I just thought he believed in the democratic principle more than politics and the PTB.
