On Tuesday, over two million men women and children took to the streets of Cairo to PEACEFULLY protest against the continued reign of Dictator Hosni Mubarak.
These are people who, despite their frustration and anger at their continued mistreatment, seek peaceful resolve. Their request was clear: The removal of Hosni Mubarak from power.
President Barack Obama responded by telling the Egyptian people and Mubarak to "get along and play nicely together", suggesting that Mubarak not run for presidency again in September.
Less than 24 hours after Mubarak announced his plans to step down as president in September, the PEACEFUL protesters of Egypt have come under fire (literally) by the Egyptian Army. Pro-Mubarak demonstrators have violently attacked the men, women, and children who have sought peaceful resolve. The military is using weaponry provided to them by the UNITED STATES to murder those who simply seek democracy.
And during all of this, Mubarak has retained his silence. Obama says he will "pray" for a resolve in Egypt. The time for prayer and silence is over. Forward this message to everyone, everywhere, and let the world know that it is time for ACTION.
Let our voices cry out to Washington, D.C., and tell President Obama that people are DYING for their freedom RIGHT NOW. Mubarak must go, food and medical supplies must be sent, and with the billions of dollars we have sent Egypt, it is our right to make this happen. Flood the White House with demands for aid for the Egyptian people and to put an end to this massacre right now.
- Flood the White House with your concerns.
- Demand the removal of Mubarak.
- Demand food and medical aid for Egyptians.
- Demand the Freedom of Press in Egypt.
- Spread the word!
