1. Why not predict the Earth falling into the Sun, too?
Kindly remember we still have control of the Senate and the White House. The Republicans can stop us from doing almost anything, but they can't do much without us, either.

4. To be so hopeful...
My heart hopes you're correct, my head knows you're not.
The r's are capable of committing the most dastardly deeds ever known to this country.

and the military to protect these 1 percenters from the rest of us.

7. For what it is worth, 82% of Republicans are against cutting Social Security for deficit reduction
Even teabaggers don't think it is a good idea: 74% are against cutting social security for deficit reduction.

http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/new-poll-dire-results-if-social-securit

Overall, of the 1,200 likely voters surveyed, 82% of respondents oppose Social Security cuts to reduce the deficit, including

83% of Dems,
78% of Independents,
82% of Republicans, and
74% of Tea Party supporters.

====

If they try to do this it is going to be a very hard sell.

8. Excuse me! Those are Republican citizens, not Republican congresscritters!
Do you think this current crop of Republican legislators is going to listen to anyone except their big contributors?

11. Yes I understand that. However I remember Bush's attempt to privatize social security
Republican citizens did not get behind that, they put pressure on their critters.

12. A lot depends on the media I guess. Will they cover anti-republican teabag rallys
with as much fervor as they covered ones against Obama?

10. the first and second
the pukes have said that they will investigate the president and the democratic congress just finishing up. I for one take them at their word. My prediction is that they will dig enough to undermine the foundation without going after the President directly. They will let those in the know do the damage, not going for an impeachment but at least trying to accomplish the same thing by pulling the rug out from under him and creating chaos in the WH.

As far as HCR, again, not a direct repeal but will chip away at it by bring out into the public eye some of the rough edges and creating outrage. This will mean congress will have to either change some aspects of it or start all over again. The pukes will be slow and methodical about it so that in 2012 it will be again a hot campaign topic.

But I have no crystal ball, just an opinion.

13. Dems still control the Senate and the Presidency.
Bills can start in the House, but the Senate still has to pass them and the President has to sign them into law. This should cut out the more egregious bills.

14. They will attempt to drastically cut federal spending...
I believe the cuts will be across the board and will affect social programs as well as militarey spending. Their ultimate goal is to shrink the size and scope of the federal government.

15. Depends on how willing Democrats in the Senate are to say no and how willing Obama is to veto.
