Watching the vote on DADT, in tears...
I am a 45 year old straight man...I am thrilled for the people who were discriminated against, I am thrilled the progressive majority (and others) decided to bring about PROGRESS.

May God bless President Obama and our leadership...

6. Not passing the Dream Act is so shameful.
The reverberations from this will never stop rippling. Reap what you sow, GOP. :hi:

9. 1 Great and Long-Awaited Victory...2 Sad Losses...
with The Dream Act and The First Responders bill. I guess we're not done fighting by a long shot. I'm so happy about the DADT repeal. 'Bout damn time!

11. Mine is too, but we need to celebrate all successes small and BIG!
Progress is just that, a little bit or one step at time, but progress...God, I am soooo happy.

13. Yes
When I made my numerous calls to my congress critters about repealing DADT, I told them that I wasn't gay, I didn't have a dog in the fight other than the belief that all of our service members deserved to be treated with respect and dignity. They laced up their boots every damn day for their country, the least that we could do for them is to acknowledge their existence and except & respect them for who they were.
