I have an idea for the implementation process for ending DADT
Any Macho Man and/or fundamentalist Red State Christian in the military who just cannot stand serving alongside gays should be given a 60 day window upon which they can resign from the military.

The catch would be that this would be listed as their public reason for leaving the military. It would be stapled to their discharge papers and follow them everywhere they go for the rest of their life: that they left the armed forces because they cannot abide serving with gays. Let prospective civilian employers make what they wish of that information.

I don't think many would take advantage of this option, but there could be a few, and I think we should actively encourage them to find another career.

3. No, honorable. That's what HST did. That way, there is nothing
to bitch about. They make the decision, then pull themselves up by their own strap-on.

4. DD can only be conferred by a court martial.
The proper discharge would be a general discharge (under honorable conditions). OTH (Other Than Honorable) if they have a history of disciplinary problems.
