When Rethugs and Teabaggers say that Obama has ripped apart |
|
the Constitution what are they talking about?
Seriously I don't know and I wonder if anyone does.

They're just blowing smoke out of their you-know-what...
I very seriously doubt they could actually give you a rational reason for what they said.

2. The interpret the constitution the same way they interpret the bible |
|
it says what they want it to say and they use both to beat up on people they have learned to hate (by relying on the bible, because Jesus hated libs don't cha know).

3. They noticed the tatters that Bush left and since it was just |
|
after Obama was elected, they thought Obama did it. Even though Bush was going at it for 8 years and Obama had been in office for 2 weeks.

What I find particularly amazing is the stunning level of hypocrisy and projection among these self-styled amateur *constitutional scholars*. You never heard any of these people say ANYTHING about any of the number of things that happened under Bushco that could definitely be considered "ripping apart" the Constitution. Back then, however, the same people were supporting the claim that abridgments of civil liberties were wholly justified as being necessary to "fight terrorism" and "keep our country safe". President Obama certainly doesn't have a perfect record so far in terms of rolling back some of these abridgments but the way some of these Rethugs and Teabaggers talk about President Obama, somebody whom didn't know anything about what's been going on in our country during the last two years and/or anybody relying solely on Fox News and Glenn Beck for their news might be led to believe that our country has become a virtual dictatorship with Obama at the helm, which is certainly not the case and I think (or at least hope) that they don't seriously believe it. They know enough to refrain from calling for armed revolution. They're certainly smart enough to do that, so they seem to clearly know what they are doing. The right used a lot of the same lines (and lies) when Bill Clinton was POTUS, so I think that it is mainly just another way to rile up their base and get them to the polls, as well as, more importantly, to de-legitimize ANY Democratic President. Remember, it's all about power to them- hypocrisy be damned.

5. I look at it as the 'PeeWee Herman' syndrome. |

"I know you are, but what am I?"
For eight long years they had to watch their boy wonder blunder from one disaster to another. Knowing --well some of them-- full well what a disaster it was, but unable to speak out for fear of the wrath 'o rush. Many became "independents" ( I voted for bush but I'm not going to own up to it) to deflect attention from their voting record.
Now we have a Democrat (and he's not white) in the White House and it is time to drag out all those criticisms of bush and throw them at President Obama, regardless if they apply or not.
--bush trashed the constitution...I know Obama did, but what about bush?--
no, it makes no sense, but...
"I know you are, but what am I?"
