2. While acknowledging your enthusiasm,
I think we really ought to let her recover and choose for herself.

I think we will like what she chooses, but there is no need to press her.

I think that the Congresswoman has demonstrated that she can turn the darkest of fears into TOAST!

3. I thought she was a Blue Dog, and Blue Dogs are bad...

Edit: it's eye-opening to search and see what DU'ers were saying about here before she was shot.

6. It's amazing to see what DU'ers were saying about many
of the policy choices of the Obama administration when Bush was still in charge as well.

As far as Gifford's goes I would hope we could find a bluer blue dog for Senate in AZ.

8. Many reasons. Primarily because I think she would do a more honest job
representing the people of this state, which believe it or not, is half Dem.

5. Are you serious?
The woman was just shot in the head. If she wants to retire and move to Tahiti for the rest of her life and remove herself from public life completely I wouldn't blame her at all. She's lucky to be alive and she may very well wish to spend the rest of her life just appreciating having the ability to breathe and see.

7. Very serious. You act as if I'm proposing to physically drag her from her sick bed. Let me
assure you I have no such intentions. That doesn't change the fact that she would be a much needed and valued voice for the many Dems in Arizona. I, for one, would love to have her calling it in from Tahiti rather than Kyl's nodding so hard his nose makes a whap-whapping sound on his tie in time to the Extremist R in power's latest outrage.

9. As Bill Maher said about Mary Bono
"She's in Congress because her husband skied into a tree"
