What are some of your ideas for your personal "socialist utopia"? All us commies could come up with the ideas and the capitalists could shoot them down. Or try to. It could lead to some good give and take.

I'd start out with a minimum dole for each adult citizen, renewable every year, up TO twice the amount you earn as a minimum salary/wages. Example: If the dole was $1k per month, you would draw this until your income reached, say $25k per year INCLUDING the dole. After a certain average income is reached you'd start paying taxes progressively on your income up to a certain amount. It would top out at 50%+ flat tax on your ACTUAL income. No deductions except for families and a personal exemption. Businesses, large or small, could only deduct for employee wages, salaries and materials. This would give people starting out SOMETHING they could count on until they could establish themselves in a field of endeavor. It could lead to a LOT of individual art, artisan and craft sole proprietor type jobs. And people who want to start a more traditional storefront/factory type of business could have a minimum amount to live on while they're getting the storefront up and running.

Of course this would be coupled with the traditional socialist idea of a nationalized health care, energy, defense, education, and transportation type of thing.
