I Finally Have Obama Figured Out!! |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-14-10 12:38 AM by BeFree
I know what he's doing!!
He's trying to make sure a bunch of republicans vote for him in 2012.
He's gonna need their votes.

I can't explain his actions and maybe it really is all about him is the motivation.

4. The country is more divided than the Clinton years .... |
|
Wont work this time ....
All the GOP needs is someone slightly to the left of Genghis Khan, and they will abandon Obama like an empty paper bag ...
One huge reason: He isn't quite white enough ....

5. Sadly no matter what he does he wont convince them he's not a socialist or a Muslim or a Kenyan. |
|
Not that there's anything inherently wrong with any of those thing--If he was a Socialist we meet be in better shape right now.

8. That's "triangulation" |
|
And it works as often as the criminal insanity defense. To which it is related.

10. Got to get re-elected, right? |
|
4 years just ain't enough, I guess. Now I like kissing my neighbors ass because then there is less pressure. But what Obama is doing is setting us up for another crash. He's got so much power that he doesn't have to kiss republican ass, but he is. It's gotta be vote pandering.

9. I take it from you post title ... He's Irish? That would explain a lot. |
|
Really a treasured and some times infuriating Irish trait is "I know what's best for the world. But for me it's different."
And we have convincing arguments for both sides too. So it's not hypocrisy but a carefully thought out dual standard.

12. He's going for indies, and he's assuming there are more right indies than left indies |
|
His mistake is assuming there are corporatist indies. There aren't.
Then again, he could be counting on Citizen United and Diebold. CU may come through but getting in bed with Diebold is a BIG mistake. Not practical counting on rabid idealists unless you're really one of them. Or can fake it, like Bush. IMO.
