Caller into Hartmann says that Walker's budget calls for selling
WI public utilities to the private sector. He has a big plan and it's to privatize everything, probably even the schools, that's why he's trying so hard to bust the unions. They are the only real power that can fight back.

1. Just like the prisons in some states - these guys figure, the more they privatize...
Edited on Tue Feb-22-11 01:00 PM by polichick
...the more cronies they'll have to exchange favors with.

So sad.

2. Not only that, the unions are the only deep pockets for the left
along the lines of the large corporations to fund campaigns and to get out the vote.

7. Yes, very fast. This seems to be a massive final push
by Republicans to fasttrack their fascist agenda.

8. Private prisons are a bad idea

SCRANTON, Pa. – A former juvenile court judge defiantly insisted he never accepted money for sending large numbers of children to detention centers even after he was convicted of racketeering for taking a $1 million kickback from the builder of the for-profit lockups

Selling city water systems is a worse idea

9. They're a horrible idea - how many of the "wrong" kind of people...
...minorities, hippies, poor - are incarcerated for profit? Makes me sick.

4. It's worse--the sales are apparently no-bid decisions that Walker makes.
Note that the Masters he serves are the Koch brothers, who are big players in energy.

To whom do you think Walker will make that sweetheart no-bid sale of the public utilities?

Connecting the dots here is very very easy.

5. The guy is the shill for the wealthy and powerful who really run this
country to see how far he can get, then the shills in other states will follow. This is a test case and if WI topples, the domino effect will continue to privatize practically everything under the regime of the hidden wealthy and powerful. Politicians are for the most part a smoke screen for what is really going on and to appease that segment of stupid voters.

11. When the fuck are people going to get their heads out of their asses
and realize that whenever a public not-for-profit entity is privatized, it always costs more because that entity now has to make a profit in addition to providing their original service? We've all seen how well that worked out with privatizing certain functions in the military(Blackwater and the $30.00 Halliburger).

12. I'm afraid in America we'll be waiting a very long time for many people to
get their heads out of their butts. They probably won't wake up 'till the BS hits them smack in the face, and then it will be too late to clean it up. This is a very naive and propagandized citizenry and the willful stupidity in American is appalling.

been enough going on one would think people would eventually wake up. When they fully wake up, I am hopeful it will be a massive wake up, the kind when the collective consciousness kicks in all at once and puts these crooks back in their box. It is sooooo frustrating, some just can't seem to get what's going on ... they have tunnel vision.
