There are a lot of dark corners out there, especially in Tea Party America.

6. I fear we face dark days ahead |
|
The sunlight may be getting brighter after 6:38 PM EST but other things will darken as the republi-pukes take back the US House and threaten to take the presidency. And the other shoe of the financial crises is coming due because we failed to reign in the banks. I'm not optimistic, sorry.

7. It's extremely difficult to find optimism during these times, yes... |
|
However, hold with me the optimism that while things may continue to degrade in the short-term; we can hold faith in unity in the future...

In times of darkness we have got to look towards something to get us through. (I loves me some Sauvignon Blanc, personally :))
But, I watched the eclipse last night. Was struck by the fact that we humans are just little specks in the entire cosmos. All we can do is try to help, comfort, and support one another. If not for that, what purpose do we have?
Edit to add: Oh, I was forgetting teh kittehs. Our purpose is to serve them.
*blush*
Carry on.
(But I still believe.)
