tea-partier types who vote against their own best interests over and over again but benefit when the left is allowed to get anything done? Is it possible that we are just not up to the fight when those we fight for fight against us and win over and over again? Many of the lower middle class and middle class are bigots who don't know anything but hate and they vote for those who make their lives miserable.
On edit: Of course there are many of all classes that don't fit that description. It's just that so many of all classes vote against their own best interests.

|
...were Repub Tea Partiers? And they have no idea who got it for them? They will continue to vote the way they do and continue to badmouth the socialism that keeps them alive.

3. I know so many middle class people that are so buying the BS. |
|
They think immigrants are coming to get them along with the muslims and socialists. It's called brainwashing.

18. I think you've got it right. |
|
I think most people think that they will be taken care and don't even think about where things like unemployment extensions came from because they think they are things that are owed them. I think they think that if they are "patriotic" and don't create waves they will get all they need. I think they see the vote as their only responsibility also. And they like to see themselves as successful patriots living in the greatest country on earth no matter what their income level is or what is going on around them. And that is the image the republicans portray isn't it?

21. Then there are those who do not understand unemployment is actually unemployment insurance |
|
Rather like thinking their car insurer "owes them" if they get hit and their car gets damaged? Unemployment insurance is also insurance that is paid into when you are employed and taken out of when you are not, following guidelines and rules inherent which are too numerous to post.

5. Why are you yelling at me? Maybe I stated it not correctly |
|
but what I'm trying to say is where are they? Those who are hurting the worst? Why are they not fighting, not out in the streets? Not holding student sit-in? They are brainwashed into thinking us on the left are their enemy and they are voting for republicans. I'm not saying that all the middle-class and lower class are republican but the majority seem to think Obama is evil.

7. I shouldn't have said it that way but I just know so many |
|
middle-class people who I went to school with who post of facebook all the time their hatred for Obama, call him stupid etc, etc... I just don't know why we are not in an all out battle for the people, for net neutrality, no tax breaks for the rich, I just don't get it and the only thing I can think is that the people that should be out fighting are voting republican. They are believing everything the TV tells them to believe. It is making me crazy.

9. We do not like it when people paint us with one broad brush. |
|
All lower classes are not bigots.
I would say I have not seen serious fighting.
We do not even know what our party stands for. What opposing ideology has been put out to countermand the tea party. I must have missed it.
When the public only receives one side's ideology because the other side is afraid to admit they have one, what can we expect them to believe.

11. Great point and when the other side does get out there |
|
with organization like the tea party they are ignored. I am thinking of MoveOn who was way better organized and had way better actions but were ignored.

and just say that there are a lot of Dumbshits in this country. All classes, races, genders, orientations, and geographical sections.
Dumbshitery is universal.... and growing... and the Dumbshits are proud of their Dumbshitedness.

15. While I understand the frustration, you're WAY the hell out of line. |
|
Describing people who work for a living as "mostly bigots who don't know anything but hate" shows that you yourself are speaking out of hate. Otherwise you might remember that trying to make life better for people who have too little is why most of us are HERE.

the far-left is getting tired of using the "we know whats best for you" mantra. Especially since it's not working.

19. That's what I like to see.... |
|
class solidarity.
Could be, just could be, that the fine opinion which you display here of your fellow citizens is fully apparent to them and is returned with interest. Might be, that for all of the fine talk that they cannot see what benefit liberals have brought to them these last 40 years. But they can sure hear people like you with their upper class opinions of them. And what do they hear from the Republicans? A bunch of shit and some familiar button pushing, but at least none of the contempt. Talk about bigots....
The Tea Party no more represents the working class than the Democratic Party does. Nobody represents the working class, but that will necessarily be resolved, we'll have no choice.
