Liberal
Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.
Edit to add: Your PERSONAL issues Score is 100%

32. This quiz has been pushed by Rand Paul and libertarians around college campuses. |
|
I don't appreciate the way these quizzes frame the questions without context. For example, am I against the draft? I'm against imperialist war and right now there is a "poverty draft" on. I don't just agree or disagree with these questions. I insist that the solution is looking at the whole political field in a different way.

'Personal Issues' 100%; Economic Issues 10%
Not surprising. I am a left-winger on both social and economic issues, who regards the tendency by some to divide them as unfortunate. Without economic leftism, social leftism is only socially liberal for those who can afford it; the threat of severe poverty is just as cruel and coercive as the threat of the police state. Without social leftism, economic leftism either turns into the quasi-theocratic authoritarianism of most so-called communist countries, or into a RW 'populism' that tramples on minorities.

40. Once again, I am a mid leftist mid Libertarian |
|
I kind of lurk in the middle between the two ideologies on the spectrum, but no one would mistake me for re-activist (conservative) or big government.
I kind of wonder how many on here are also of that political persuasion. I took the long form *smirk* that was nearly 50 questions, and came out the same.
