12. I didn't give to this through DU, but I just dropped off

$30 worth of canned goods and pasta to our local food bank, which is affiliated with Feeding America. I like to try to help locally. I got there at lunch time and there was a small line of folks there to get some food. The volunteers thanked me profusely for the groceries.

It felt really good to help.
