Are only SOME DUer's not able to access DU?

I've been locked out all day. FInally remembered how to get to the DUPANICROOM on Yahoo groups and someone mentioned I might have to use a proxy to get in... So, using a canadian proxy (fiberprox.net) I was finally able to access DU and none of the posts seem to even be mentioning what seems like a historically long outage.

So, what gives? Were most DUers able to access all along? Why would it just be my isp? I'm very confused. :shrug:

I have seen several comments of DUers having a difficult time trying to get on DU today? I was off for 5 or 6 hours but I had no trouble when I signed on. I think there is a DNS or router problem somewhere?

I know Skinner is doing all he can. It's just been a really pissy day all the way around and I look forward to a little web surfing to keep me sane when I take a break. Getting nothing but DNS errors is about like having a computer virus. One becomes absolutely fixated with clearing the error.

None of the workarounds worked for me. At one point I was having a hard time connecting to any site-usually had to reclick to get it to load. But I think AT&T was a little slow on the uptake.
