And closed with at least 5 more minutes on him. I don't know what else he covered - I turned away since I was looking for news, not entertainment gossip.

All day today I looked for coverage on Wisconsin. Democracy Now! had a piece. So did Al Jazeera. On CNN I got information about dress styles at the Oscars and more coverage of Charlie Sheen's meltdown. I never saw anything about Wisconsin.

To be fair, I was not at any one channel for any length of time. Every time they ran more than thirty seconds on crap, I changed the channel.

On another note, Charlie Sheen is right in step with all the other self-destruction we see going on about us. Something that happens frequently to people/organizations/countries with hyper-inflated egos. Such egotism and arrogance can never be sustained for long.

Months ago, I helped law enforcement identify a woman's body that went unnamed for several years. I was contacted by People Magazine for an interview, that was supposed to bring some publicity to an online site called NAMUS. This site exists to help match the thousands of unidentified bodies with missing persons.

The reporter called me three times, and even said they were sending a photographer out. It never happened.

As far as my involvement goes, it's not a big deal. I would much rather stay in the background. But this group has been responsible for sending lost ones back home and helping many families find closure.

Evidently, the Lohans, Spears, and Sheens are much more news worthy. The reporter told me that this is what the readers want. I responded that if that crap was all they published, it was a no-brainer that all their readers were into it. I quit reading People Magazine 30 years ago.

While watching a re-run (hey, that's all that's left) of "Two and a Half Men":

Charlie Harper is entertaining, Charlie Sheen is pathetic. It was a good run while it lasted.

Sheen however I feel sorry for, the drugs are destroying him. I do wish him the best though, because from what I've heard from friends and family he is a nice person when he isn't high.
