Rachael just asked about the gossipy stuff info from Wikileaks.

When she was on Letterman she commented on the cable about wedding details in one of the 'stan countries and that it should not be up to an Australian to decide to release the secure information about the US (yeah, um, cuz US journalists are so good at holding our officials accountable)

Why downplay the cable information with ALL the shit that has come out so far?


Headline after headline everyday about bigger issues and NOT ONE cable show has had any kind of special about the specific stuff we have seen here on DU and elsewhere.
So the current excuse seems to be "just because it is leaked, doesn't mean it is true". Alright then, confront the current feds/officials. Hey, Hillary, what WAS in that "current report" about the 1966 Palomares (US) nuke plane accident in Spain..you know, the one that the Spanish official asked for your "positive comments" IF the facts from that most RECENT report were to be discovered..and you refused to commit. Comments, Hillary? Any exposure issues those local Spanish residents need to know about, maybe??

Oh, yeah, and, call Joe Lieberman..ya know that pressure you have put on US companies to drop WL..where were you when China was asking the US to stop Google Images from showing picture of high security Chinese sites?? Oh, wait, the US embassy response was "sorry, we can't do anything since Google is a **private company"***.

And, er, about that uranium that the US literally snuck out of another country on a **commercial flight** under the guise of "diplomatic" cargo so it would not get examined to keep that country would not find out what we had. Commerical flight????
