Newly-released surveillance footage shows an escalator malfunction that sent crowds of people into a human pileup at L'Enfant Metro station in Washington D.C. on Nov. 4, following the John Stewart/Steven Colbert 'Rally to Restore Sanity' event in the capital. Several people were injured. The cause of the accident was later determined to be a brake failure.
