WTDY can no longer carry the Glenn Beck program. Over the last 12 months, the show has devolved into plugs for Fox News (the radio version of which is aired by our direct competitor), his books, and other personal endorsements. The lack of actual content becomes more apparent daily. Monday’s program was the final straw; his unabashed deriding of Madison is unacceptable for broadcast in our community.

5. I checked around, re: audience size, and found only this:

The Fall 2010 Arbitron ratings of the Madison Area.

12+ Population: 484,200 ( entire listening pop. of the area)
(Black: 18,800) (Hispanic: 21,400)

and WTDY is ranked 15th of 20 stations. WTDY is all talk, and all kinds of stations are included.

It's audience is mostly ages 23 thru 65 plus. ( found that in a WTDY search)

Having said that, there is controversy over how Arbitron collects and measures data.

edited to add: Clear channel owns 6 of the 20 stations in the area, 2 of them talk stations.
