I do change DNS servers if Comcast is having DNS problems, though. I also keep a list of IP addresses for my favorite sites. That often works when DNS servers are down. You can find those addresses by using one of the WhoIs sites.

Run -> Start -> ipconfig /flushdns
It worked for me.
