Just heard from some definitely a-political friends of mine in North-east U.S.

They are NOT liking what's going on against the Unions, even though they all are retired and were never Union members their whole lives. VERY concerned about their children and grandchildren's lives.

5. Most Americans have someone in their family who remembers

what is was like before Unions.

Without Unions:

No 40 hour week
No minimum wage
Children could be made to work.
No Health care whatsoever--Just what you can deal with an
Insurance Co. on your own.
No paid vacation.
No sick leave
Nepotism on the rampage.
No Retirment benefits.

Americans see Unions as part of Democracy. They may not
like what a certain union does. They may even think Unions
overreach at times.

They still give the Union Credit for Labor Standards in this
country. They do not want to be without the Union around
whether they belong to one or not.

6. The corporate tactics are to use the Republicans to crash the economy and

then use the crashed economy to defund the government. Cut taxes, cut services, more money to the uber rich and then cut, cut, cut, all governmental regulations. Corporate Anarchy.

Seriously - if there are humans who like what's going on right now and who have no problem with it, I think it's time to take their human card away and disown them as a member of the species.

Thinking about what it means for the species that it should be a remarkable thing that some members of it care about other members of it...I think I need a drink.
