Please realize - Grothman et al aren't botching their lines with these outbursts

Hell, calling somebody a "slob" is amateur hour for anyone hoping to become a heavyweight right-wing spokesperson. Goading "The Other" (that would be us slobs) into anger has become as predictable a move for them as licking a Wall Streeter's Florsheims. Each verbal slap in the face accomplishes exactly what it was intended to: it feeds a destructive spoonful of anger directly into the open mouths of all who choose to swallow it. And anger which does nothing more than stew in the pit of one's stomach is quite destructive. Unless an outrage is dealt with constructively - countered with righteous argument based on the facts and grounded in principle, the bile produced with each attack has done its job and it's back to the Stink Tank™ for the idiots to dream up even more dreck for the next round.

2. Not to mention anger will make you lash out. When a politician tries to get
peaceful demonstrators into lashing out in anger it is called "baiting". Hitler used it.

3. As much or more than trying to anger us it is an attempt to
get the public to e with the protesters, to not want to be associated with them, to view them negatively.
walker's attempt was saying most were from out of state. Irksome outsiders.
The ads are associating with Obama corruption thuggery.
And now they are stinking ne'er-do-wells

5. It isn't just "akin" -- it's directly based on it
The right loves to deal in recycled slurs. They demonize one group and then keep tarring other groups with that same label forever.

So if they can't accuse you of being a commie they'll hit you with the dirty-hippie-freeloader slur. It's all the same thing.
