Best starting off place for college graduate to look for a federal gov't job?

My nephew is a top student with a business/finance degree. I've looked on the "g sites but it's very confusing.

In my day they had special opportunities for recent graduates to take a test and then apply to different agencies.

2. He could check in with the career placement
office at his school, or whatever they call it there. Also, it's distantly possible some agencies might recruit on his campus, so he needs to pay attention when the recruiters are there.

4. usajobs.gov has most of the federal job postings, but tell him good luck
trying to get a federal job right now unless he has a lot of experience, a really impressive resume, or vet preference. Federal Soup is also a good site for getting information on federal jobs.

5. My Son Has Applied To The Military
With a 4 year College Business Degree he has Officer's Potential, with Housing, Health Insurance, VA Benefits and a job. At least, perhaps, he won't instead be thrown on the pile when he is outsourced in the business private sector. I must add, my husband and I survive on a VA pension. I know, it's not for everyone, but hopefully it will continue to serve our future veterans well. God Willing.

7. You've obviously never seen the USA.gov commercials
according to their catchy jingle you can find information about government jobs there. You can also "apply for a student loan (usa.gov) get energy saving tips for your home (usa.gov)"... etc.
