1. If he's that easily tricked, then it doesn't say much for him.

2. Who baited him? And if he's that easily led he shouldn't be trying to
speak to those smarter than he is.

He's a dork to start with - now he's a factless, spineless, ingnorant dork.

7. If he can be baited by a talk show host
is he qualified to interact with world leaders and deal with MAJOR world problems.

He's too stupid for interviews, he's too stupid for everything else.

8. Didn't he say that if he knows ONE thing, it's that Obama "grew up in Kenya" ?
That doesn't seem like being baited.

10. He said it twice, far enough apart to get it right the second time. Pretty indefensible, Chuck

24. Yes. Did Obama ever even *go* to Kenya as a child? I know he visited as an adult.
I don't know which is most pathetic--Huckabee spouting birther talking points, Huckabee trying to pretend he hasn't spouted birther talking points, or Todd trying to fish Huckabee out of the bottom of that deep, deep privy vault. Don't look down, Chuckie, it's full of spiders.

11. He tried to get the interviewer to let him, um... finish...
.
.
.
...and the interviewer wouldn't leave him alone.
.
Huckabee: "Go 'way. 'BATIN'!!!!
.
.
Interviewer: "But, wouldn't that..."
.
.
Huckabee: "OMG-OMG-OMG-0BAMAS-A-KENYAN-OMG-OMG-OMG!!!"
.
.
He was remarkable calm and clear-eyed for the rest of the interview.
.
.
I think they're confused about who was doing the baiting.
.

13. If he took the bait, I guess that makes Huckabee a sucker fish.
I used to fish for suckers when I was a kid but I never caught any as ugly as Chuckles.

14. No, he wasn't "baited." Here's the transcript, from Media Matters:
http://mediamatters.org/blog/201103010018

MALZBERG: Don't you think it's fair also to ask him, I know your stance on this. How come we don't have a health record, we don't have a college record, we don't have a birth cer - why Mr. Obama did you spend millions of dollars in courts all over this country to defend against having to present a birth certificate. It's one thing to say, I've -- you've seen it, goodbye. But why go to court and send lawyers to defend against having to show it? Don't you think we deserve to know more about this man?

HUCKABEE: I would love to know more. What I know is troubling enough. And one thing that I do know is his having grown up in Kenya, his view of the Brits, for example, very different than the average American. When he gave the bust back to the Brits --

MALZBERG: Of Winston Churchill.

HUCKABEE: The bust of Winston Churchill, a great insult to the British. But then if you think about it, his perspective as growing up in Kenya with a Kenyan father and grandfather, their view of the Mau Mau Revolution in Kenya is very different than ours because he probably grew up hearing that the British were a bunch of imperialists who persecuted his grandfather.

Or he's lying.

Neither one are very admirable qualities.
