24 February 2011

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has set up a "Worker Defense Fund" to support efforts to stop Governor Scott Walker's anti-worker agenda.

Donations will help defray the costs of conducting numerous demonstrations around the state, including the massive protests at the state Capitol in Madison.

To contribute via credit card, go to the Wisconsin AFL-CIO website and click on the PayPal link: http://www.wisaflcio.org/

To contribute by check, make it payable to the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO Defense Fund and indicate "Worker Defense Fund" in the memo line. Mail to:

Wisconsin AFL-CIO
6333 W. Blue Mound Road
Milwaukee, WI 53213

1. Wrote a check
I just sent 10 bucks. Not much but I work as a teacher and there is a bill here in Oregon to either get rid of my school district or cut the budget by 36%. We are the county district that houses the medically fragile kids, has the classrooms at the children's hospital and the county jail and the city's most vulnerable special ed kids.

It is sad when rich people are willing to take food (pretty much, considering the cuts to our lunch programs) right out of the mouths of disabled children.
