In a political nose-thumbing to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, the GOP had ditched the biodegradable food packaging, along with the food composting program that they'd used for four years in the House cafeteria.

5. One wonders how they'll manage to screw up the food

I love the House cafeteria. It's set up kind of like a mall food court where you choose from various stalls, then they ring you up on the way out. I am particularly partial to the Regional American stall, which offers up everything from Cajun pork to Midwestern broiled trout on a rotating basis.

Now I suppose they'll have roast moose with a certificate of authenticity that it was shot by Sarah Palin from a helicopter. Or jumbo Gulf shrimp in a BP crude oil reduction. :eyes: Or worse still, turn the whole thing over to their fast-food corporate buddies so that it will resemble a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike. :scared:
