1. OMG OMG OMG!!

I was just thinking of that same quote yesterday. Tolkien was a fantastic writer and the story of the Lord of the Rings is timeless. There is a passage from the Battle of the Pelennor Fields that I feel speaks about what is going on right now if you substitute The witch king for Scott Walker and Théoden for Unions.

2. Yeah, the quote seemed timely to me.

I love the symbolism in his books. I'll never forget a history teacher I had in HS (1970) who made The Hobbit required reading.
