Unless, of course, this is just the target the shooter could reach, rather than the target he wanted to exact revenge on. And while Bush, Cheney, and the rest of that criminal cabal write their memoirs and enjoy their comfortable retirements, I hope none of the rest of you get all resentful because it's you or your loved ones facing the judgment of the Bush administration's victims. The United States has a long history of dicking over people all over the globe. Surely many of the dicked over would prefer to exact revenge on the leaders, but lacking access to them, may settle for any American they can get at. I don't see it as an excuse, lame ass or otherwise, but simply an observation about how the world works: Oppressed people won't be oppressed forever, and some of them will look for an opportunity to pay back their oppressors in whatever form they find them.

I don't know if that's what happened here, but it will surely take this route in other places at other times. We could investigate, prosecute and condemn the wrong-doers in our midst ourselves, or take the chance that the vengeance of our victims will follow neither due process nor be overly concerned about the accuracy of its strike back. In which case, Americans anywhere can be the targets of revenge, since we're unwilling to hold our own accountable.

The Clinton administration took military action that forced Milosevic to withdraw his forces from Kosovo in 1999. In 2008, George W. Bush recognized Kosovo's independence. You are making excuses here by implying this person is somehow 'oppressed.' Do you have any evidence to indicate he's anything more than a violent fundamentalist nutjob?

Kosovo was during the Clinton administration and we were on the side of the Muslims (and against the Serbs). What was his beef? Or is he just a jihadist with a hard on for the US in general?

The NATO bombing of Kosovo was in 1999. This particular jihadi is currently 21 years old. Which would mean that he was around 9 years of age when Clinton intervened on the Muslims' behalf.
