F-U Mr FAUX Contributor/Lehman Bros Asshole: " Kasich Cheers Job Killing Bill..."
Kasich Cheers Job Killing Bill's One Vote Passage

Minutes after today's vote in the Ohio Senate Gov. Kasich released the following pre-prepared press release:

COLUMBUS - Today Gov. John R. Kasich applauded the Ohio Senate's passage of Senate Bill 5, legislation reforming collective bargaining rules for government employee unions, and issued this statement:

"I applaud President Niehaus, Senator Jones and Senator Bacon for their leadership, and I appreciate the courage and resolve members of the Senate have shown in working with me to get Ohio back on track. This is a major step forward in correcting the imbalance between taxpayers and the government unions that work for them. Our state, counties, cities and school districts need the flexibility to reduce their costs and better manage their workforces, and taxpayers deserve to be treated with more fairness. Senate Bill 5 is just one piece of a larger plan to create a jobs-friendly climate in Ohio that is essential to returning prosperity to our state."

Senate Bill 5 now moves to the Ohio House of Representatives for committee hearings.

7. AND FRANK LAROSE IS A BIG, FAT LIAR, TOO
Here is what he sent to ALL of us who wrote and called him about this issue:

Thank you for your email regarding Senate Bill 5. I appreciate that you took
time to write to me with your thoughts on this important issue. I'm sorry that
it's taken me longer than usual to respond to you and also for the fact that I'm
not able to reply personally to each email and phone call. Please know that
your voice is being heard! Our office is receiving thousands of messages and
phone calls, and I've been meeting with hundreds of concerned constituents
regarding public-employees' collective bargaining reform.

I understand and share many of your concerns about Senate Bill 5. I believe that
there is room for improvement with this legislation. Working together, we can
improve public employee collective bargaining in Ohio without taking that right
away.

My belief is we can achieve two goals at once: we can be fair and equitable to
those who work for our state and communities while also giving government
leaders the tools to manage their human resource costs and effectively address
budget concerns.

I was recently quoted in the Columbus Dispatch saying, "I think that reforming
collective bargaining doesn't mean getting rid of it. I believe in the right of
people to gather as a group and advocate on their behalf." I'll continue to
work with my colleagues to hopefully arrive at a solution which is fair to all
concerned.

There have been hours of public testimony in multiple hearings on the bill.
They will continue until my colleagues who serve on the Insurance, Commerce and
Labor Committee have agreed upon a final proposal. This bill is still a work in
progress. If you have specific ideas on how to improve it, please do not
hesitate to contact me. Also, I invite you to join me on Facebook and Twitter
where there is a spirited, ongoing conversation about this issue.

My commitment to you is that I will continue attentively listening to the voices
of our fellow Ohioans on both sides of this issue and work thoughtfully to
arrive at a fair solution.

Yours in service,

Frank LaRose
State Senator
27th Ohio Senate District

5. Ohioan here...
this line scares the crap out of me:

Senate Bill 5 is just one piece of a larger plan to create a jobs-friendly climate in Ohio that is essential to returning prosperity to our state.

What the hell else does he have up his sleeve?

6. How about "charter universities"?
It will allow all those nice university presidents to do stuff without transparency, including taking over property by using eminent domain. I can see these guys drooling over local properties and engaging in building programs they can't afford while decimating their academics and jacking up tuition and fees.
