Companies get human equality in Shittyzens United.

Humans can't get humanity to bury their dead.

1. They suck!
But today's decision was correct.

Phelps and his followers will continue to be outnumbered and vilified.

I would like to see the cops linger over their coffee and donuts a while when they have to show up to protect that band of assholes.

16. +1 in your post's entirety. It makes me sick that for me to
have First Amendment rights that the douchenozzles have to have theirs, but democracy ain't always a pretty thing.

2. But ... but ... it's all about Free Speech!
It's America, fuck yeah, say anything you want, and the hell with everyone else. That's why God blessed us.

3. Where and when do the laws about hate speech kick in?
Really. A serious question, because I hate this ruling.

What happened to privacy?

It incenses me that these scum get protected, but an anonymous soldier's family gets to have their final goodbye sullied at will.

9. I'm to the point where I think the 1st Amendment failed. We need change.
Be it a new Amendment that specifically covers, hate speech. I don't care about giving that right up. Heck open the door for something like Canada has with it's Radio Regulations which even limits news on the airwaves; "A licensee shall not broadcast any false or misleading news." I'm all for that kind of stuff. Entirely free speech was a nice thought, we tried it. Then people took it to new levels and abused it. It needs to change.

5. Phelps is all about the benjamins.
They have a well thought out plan of action to garner money through lawsuits at every funeral they attend.

6. That wasn't even a remotely close case legally. It was decided correctly.
Even when we hate it, it is still constitutionally protected.

AND

Exposure to their speech disgusts people. It certainly doesn't convert people to their POV.
