Wisconsin Lawmakers take their offices outside of the Capitol

Several Democratic members of the Assembly, frustrated by the public’s lack of access to the Capitol, moved desks and chairs from their offices to meet with constituents on Wednesday afternoon.

The lawmakers and their staff carted out the furniture and began meeting with members of the public who have had trouble gaining entry to the Capitol.

The Department of Administration restricted access to the building beginning on Sunday night, and the effect of the decision has been to sharply limit the number of people entering the Capitol.

“We are out here because our governor and the Department of Administration are ignoring a judge’s court order,” said Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha.)

3. A couple of paragraphs from the Wisconsin state constitution explain the judge's ruling.
(snip)

Right to assemble and petition. SECTION 4. The right of
the people peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common
good, and to petition the government, or any department thereof,
shall never be abridged.

Journals; open doors; adjournments. SECTION 10.
Each house shall keep a journal of its proceedings and publish
the same, except such parts as require secrecy. The doors of each
house shall be kept open except when the public welfare shall
require secrecy. Neither house shall, without consent of the
other, adjourn for more than three days.

The rest of the country should be apprised that if this "coup d'etat" succeeds in Wisconsin, your state will be next.

Wisconsin is a test case and a blueprint for the rest of the country. Every American should take warning about what is happening in Wisconsin.

...and remember the words of Martin Niemoller.

6. There should be a federal independent prosecutor assigned to investigate
the governor & his RepubliCorporate enablers. Too many unanswered questions about the legality of their budget & their methods.

This situation has nothing to do with "looking backward" -- it's happening NOW.
