2. Amazingly, all these years after Bush vs Gore, we still don't have... |

...uniform and verifiable voting - wonder why neither party pushes for that.

4. If thats the case, why did we win in 2006/2008? |
|
Where was Diebold then?
Why didn't 100% of the tea baggers win in 2010?
Blaming diebold is too easy.

6. Why did we win in 2006/2008? |

They badly underestimated the level of anger of the public at the republican, so the machines were miscalibrated. Fraud DID occur - widespread, pervasive fraud. But they were trying to keep the final votes w/i 1-3% in their favor so as to look legit. Machines flipping 5% of Dem votes wasn't enough to counter massive Dem turnout and a lack of Repub turnout.
Where was Diebold then? See above.
Why didn't 100% of the tea baggers win in 2010? Because everybody could see they are fucking idiots - and, as above, Diebold (or whatever the active vote rigger may be) tries to keep the tally close to avoid embarassing recounts.
Read up on how the rigging is done and you won't ask silly questions.

7. If you look at the policy decisions since 2006 you'll realize we didn't |
|
win at all. "We" just changed some nameplates on a few doors.

5. I think they're suffering from "victory fever". |

I think they have seriously blundered with this business in Wisconsin and Ohio but they are just blinded by their own awesomeness right now and can't see it. Americans are seriously pissed off. That's the only lesson they should have taken away from 2010.

10. They do seem to not care |

It's as if they know it's in the bag so they don't have to worry about getting votes.
When turnout is small the number of votes needing to be flipped, added, or subtracted is smaller, making it easier to change outcomes. In 2006 and 08, the massive turnout made it almost impossible to flip an election.
It's fine to have discussions about the ramifications of allowing one or two secretive companies count our votes in secret and privately. The dangers are self-evident.
But there should be no discussion and no doubt that the republicans would use the situation to their advantage. And, the evidence shows, Diebold has worked to their advantage.
