What's the end game for Wisconsin? |
|
How do you think this will end? Walker doesn't look like he's going to give an inch, and I worry that if some Repug senators say they'll remove the collective bargaining from the bill they'll trick the dems into coming back into session and screw everyone.

4. Illegal or not, if this bill passes in any way, shape or form.............. |

I believe that Wisconsin goes out on a general strike. Which might also spread to the REST of the midwest, with sympathy strikes in more left leaning areas.
It's not something that should be entered into lightly because when you go all in with a general strike, it IS all in.

They see the writing on the wall. Unions keep collective-bargaining, but lose a shitload of cash.

8. I hope I'm wrong, but I see walker and his thugs winning this battle |
|
The repubs are pretty solidly entrenched and I see them backing down. Mr. Asshole will lose a lot of political capital and his career is essentially now over. Hopefully most or all of this bill gets reversed by the next administration.

9. Speaking as someone here in Wisconsin... |
|
The end game for Walker is becoming visible. People in Wisconsin and people nationwide think that he has made a huge mistake. By 2-1 people think the attack on collective bargaining was a bridge too far.
No matter how the battle on the bill turns out, Walker has damaged himself. He's taken an ideological road to support billionaires. People here get that he has chosen access to $43,000,0000,000 instead of caring about the interests of 5,700,000 CITIZENS of Wisconsin.
The behavior of Walker in his bully tactics surrounding the Capitol have already been judged as wrong by the people of Wisconsin, the court battles over the same haven't yet begun.
A fight will be made in court over the malfeasance of no-bid contracts for the sale of assets held by the State.
The end game for the bill is uncertain.
But, no trick is going to end it. Many recalls have been filed. The recall war is now 5 recalls on dems vs 6 recalls on republicans. This is currently where the battle on the bill lays. It could last months. Pressure back in the districts is ON. It's a test of wills, and emotions are very near a flashpoint. The WI senate is on the assault of a brigehead that is one too far. If they continue in their efforts to pass rules ex post facto and to engage DOA and state police to impose control over the Capitol (to which the WI Constitution GUARANTEES CITIZENS ACCESS) they, will like Walker alienate the citizenry.
The bloodbaths in legislative seats in 2012 will leave prolabor candidate (can't say that they will be Dems at this point) in control for the remainder of Walker's administration.

But Snotty Scotty's platform sits on of shaky ground if the state is against him 2-1.
