Wouldn't it just set your mind at ease to hear them say that it's because he's black? |
|
Wouldnt your prefer that the teabaggers who are grasping at straws with their "for the children", "save the taxpayers", "Freedom", "socialist", "natural born citizen", "birth certificate"...BS, just came right out and said that they hated Obama because he's black?
I just found out that I had several family members actually go to DC from Georgia back during the teabagger rallies several months ago. Amongst these are two retired GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES who raised their families off the backs of us lowly taxpayers. The rest of them are uber religious, which is making me uber Anti-religious. I wanted so badly for them to cut the crap and bull shit excuses and just tell me that it was because they are racist bags of shit and horrible human beings.
We KNOW that they are mostly racist bag of shit and I just want to hear them cop to it. No more bull shit, just admit their hate.
Am I alone in this?

You are not alone.

5. Nope. It won't be enough for me until they come out in public |
|
with that N-word. The one they're so free with in private conversation. You can't find the phrase here at DU, but BartCop has the fortitude to print it, and it's the Truth.

6. You are right NightWatcher |
|
None of their comments nor any of their marches would have ever been made if he was lily white.........it's all about the color, and they just cannot stand it......that's all they've got.......and they know it all too well.... but will never admit their hate and ignorance. What a sad group they are.... and I daresay that some of that "religion" gets in their way too.

7. I'm sure there are a few racists, maybe more than a few there. |
|
But it's not like Obama is the first Democrat that the right wing has hated. They thought Bill Clinton was a murderer (Vince Foster) and a rapist. A Republican GOP member went so far as to conduct his own forensics tests with a gun and a watermelon. I remember people pursuing rumors that there were two Arkansas state troopers on TWA Flight 800 who were on their way to Paris to talk about Clinton's past, with the implication that Clinton had a few hundred people blown up over the Atlantic to cover it up. They dug into everything and anything. The GOP took over a hundred hours of sworn testimony about the White House Christmas list. And then of course they impeached him over a sex scandal.
I think today's Republican Party has more or less lost its mind, from their leaders on down. It amazes me that one of our two great political parties--who produced some truly admirable leaders in Lincoln and TR, and a fair number of reasonably decent ones--now believes in things like creationism, denial of global warming, and unfettered oligarchy by the wealthy and the corporations. But still, I don't feel comfortable saying their views are generally motivated by racism. That's a very serious charge that needs very serious evidence, and can't be thrown around lightly.

10. I'm tremendously disappointed |
|
in President Obama but I must say that I have NEVER seen a President (and a First Lady!) treated with such open contempt, disdain, disrespect, etc. I'm no longer young and have lived through a lot of Presidencies.

12. But if the repubs said that it's just because he's black, |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-03-11 04:39 AM by OnyxCollie
the sheep might realize they've been duped.
The repubs' proposed doctrine says that they are militarily savvy and fiscally responsible (even though they aren't.) If it was reveled that they were only corrupt racists, they would be relegated to the fringe.
Hitler never lived up to the Nazi doctrine. There were no great Aryan accomplishments. He was just a corrupt racist.
On edit: I don't know if he was corrupt, so I'd like to apologize to Hitler for comparing him to the republicans.
