A good number of us were denied access to DU for several days. Many were not locked out.

I've heard rumors on the "Internets" that those that had unfettered access, were talking about those of us that were locked out.
Mocking us.
Making fun of us.
Even talking about how maybe we should not be let back in.
They were laughing at us, because we were all frantically asking WTF? in the rusted out Ford Pinto Yahoo group, The DU Panic room.

THIS WILL NOT STAND!
We know who you are and we will be tracking you down.

Thank God we are back up again.
When DU went down, I was like the guy that just snorted the last line of coke from a football sized rock.
I was desperate for news.
I was desperate to converse with my friends.
It was like coming home and finding all of the locks changed, and no way in.

That's saying something.
I was locked out of the greatest community of people that I know and I hated it.

Home.
It's good to be back.

6. All week I have been online at home, but locked out at work, except when I found a proxy

server that worked. As of today at 6pm. I still could not connect directly at work. Also, some folks on th DU group on FB still could not connect at all. I sue hope it will all be resolved soon.

some folks there where giving out proxy server info and keeping folks up to date on what was happening with DU's DNS problem.
And also on Twitter there was some info regarding the DNS situation.

8. First Keith. Then DU (for 2 days)

Talk about wandering in the wilderness. So I went to freeperland expecting tons of crude remarks. Surprisingly about half were in sympathy (remembering when FR went down a few times).

Best snide comment:

At least some over there have a sense of humor.

9. Initially freeperland was the only place I found that mentioned DU crashed

and I too noticed the expressions of sympathy as well as condemnations for freepers who hoped DU had been attacked.

11. It was the first google search I found

when it went down to see what happened.
I didn't know if it was my ISP or what. I was off DU until
I found the damn number to punch in, I couldn't post
or sign on but could at least look at DU. Finally could get in last night.
