Ed Show: Hearing held today & tomorrow regarding Walker keeping Capitol doors shut |
|
Judge is apparently going to rule on the matter tomorrow. I hope the judge issues an arrest warrant for Gov Walker due to his defying the original order to open the doors to the public!

1. Former U.S. Congressman David Obey tried to enter for a meeting but state police |
|
told him he'd have to get in line. The meeting began while he was still outside. He & a Democratic state representative were asking two state policeman about what Obey should do & the officers said they didn't have instructions; they didn't know. Obey said if the taxpayers weren't allowed in, then neither would he. He left & I believe he was going to the courthouse to give a statement.
Also, it seems that the judge presiding at the hearing has been working toward a compromise -- unbelievable -- but both sides -- sooprise, sooprise -- couldn't come to an agreement. Doesn't sound encouraging that Walker will be properly held accountable; a compromise isn't appropriate; the capitol belongs to the taxpayers & Walker is only a temporary tenant whose benefactors are the people.
