What teabaggers REALLY mean when they say "I wish things were the way they used to be" |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-03-11 02:11 AM by Hugabear
What they really mean:
* They wish that women were still relegated to the kitchen; or if they got a job, that it was a "woman's job" like a secretary * They wish that segregation was still the law of the land, where they didn't have to mix with African-Americans * They wish that sweat shops still existed in the US, where 80-hour work weeks were common, and there was no such thing as minimum wage or overtime * Deep down, many of them still wish that slavery was still legal, just replace the plantation with large factories * They wish that homosexuals were confined to the closet, subject to prosecution
Feel free to add some more

1. They wish for higher tax rates, especially for the top 5%? |
|
Because that was part of the way it used to be. What was it during the Eisenhower administration, 90% on the top levels?

So in the spirit of the original post:
Nothing but twin beds allowed, no matter how long a couple has been married. The word "pregnant" never said in public or in mixed company. Euphemisms must prevail!
