4. Now we see who RUiNS America: big oil.
Just watch the power of big oil. Iraq and Egypt showed how silly our intervention can be; yet, we should not be surprised as big oil pushes us into another war.

12. Nope. Not big oil. It's really the bank. THE bank runs everything.
And every president who's tried to do something about it, from Andrew Jackson on up got shot at or killed.

There's only one bank, and it's owned by individuals, not the state. I can't for the life of me figure out why everybody accepts that the bank is owned by individuals. Can't even print our own money, we have to borrow it from the families that own it, and of course, pay enormous sums of interest on it.

5. Libya doesn't need that mess!
We've already brutally destroyed at least two countries, countries where protesters are also rising up against the puppet governments we've installed to help steal their resources.

We deserve whatever mess we are in for the huge war crimes that have gone unpunished, perpetrated against innocent people by the U.S. government.

Protesters fighting for freedom from our favorite dictatorships in Africa and the ME, have stated categorically that they DO NOT WANT the U.S. involved as 'WE DO NOT WANT TO BECOME ANOTHER IRAQ'.

Shame on us, the American people that we were unable or unwilling to stop the crimes against so many millions of people.

Yes, Obama who went along with the Bush policies of supporting dictators everywhere, may now feel that the U.S. has so much money at stake in Libya thanks to their partnership with their good friend Qaddafi, who they cannot save now, that another invasion to protect our BP and Halliburton contracts, might be necessary.

You can rest assured that no matter how big a mess they create for the people of that country, because that is who is normally the victims of our greed, so long as U.S. and Multi-National Corps are making money in an oil rich country, it will not bother the American government, no matter which party is in power.

Sorry, but I found it a little jarring to be worried about a politician who is now complicit in the crimes of the U.S. empire, rather than the potential victims of our brutal foreing policy.

6. No intervention by any Western power is going to end well.
If anyone goes in, it should be members of the Arab League.

Gaddafi doesn't even sound sane at this point, although he never did very much.

8. The U.S. only imports 3% of its oil from Libya
There is no strategic reason for the U.S. to be involved. Let the EU, where the majority of Libyan exports go, intervene if they want to, but the U.S. should stay out.

10. The "no-fly zone" idea was spelled out very clearly this AM on NPR -
Step 1 : Bomb the living shit out of all air defenses, including aircraft on the ground, and all anti-aircraft missile installations! :scared:

Exactly how many people are we willing to kill in order to accomplish this goal? I don't even want to think about it...
