Indiana Secretary of State indicted

The state's top election official, Secretary of State Charlie White, has been indicted for alleged voter fraud in Hamilton County.

A Hamilton County grand jury handed down the indictment on Thursday against White.

According to Dan Sigler, the special prosecutor assigned to the case, White faces seven felony counts surrounding his failure to register properly in his voting district. Those counts include perjury in addition to voter fraud.

A spokesperson for the Secretary of State's office, Jason Thomas, told Eyewitness News, "We haven't heard anything just yet. We're waiting on word from the investigation and we're continuing the work of the Secretary of States office."
