Fitzgerald admitted the senators' (WI 14) actions aren't criminal but....
Edited on Thu Mar-03-11 04:31 PM by PA Democrat
"It's the same as an arrest. It is an arrest," Fitzgerald said.

Can you "arrest" someone for something that is not a crime?

And then there is the request for tips on possible sightings of the Wisconsin 14:

"He (Fitzgerald) said any individual who spots the senators can call law enforcement to have them apprehended."

Ya know, I could have sworn I saw Elvis Presley in line at the grocery store the other day.

2. "very similar to a warrant"
They're practicing some pretty interesting interpretations of the law in Wisconsin!

7. I think they know arresting them is unconstitutional
So they are trying to hedge their bet by calling it anything but an actual arrest.

3. Folks in Wisconsin should call the police and say they've spotted senators at Walmart, Taco Bell,...
McDonalds, the hardware store, at the park, etc.
That should keep 'em busy for awhile :)

4. That's somewhat similar
to something legal in a certain, undefinable way. So, it's as good as law, somewhat.

Perhaps we should just go directly to, "By Royal Decree!" and skip the formalities?

9. Tomorrow is a critical deadline in WI
If the budget isn't approved, they won't have time to refinance their debt, which is a critical part of the package.

They have to be getting nervous.

11. The state is supposed to have already
set aside money for the debt payment that is due. Walker just wants to rob the piggy bank for other things. Walker is creating most of his own emergencies.
