Yep. I try to keep at least $10 in cash because of the card/cash differential..... |
|
...... though Speedway seems to charge the same for both.

5. The Speedways in Waterford are some of the highest prices |
|
the stations in Pontiac (although I don't go through there much) are generally 10-15 cents cheaper.

3. I drove past one station today it was 3.49 |
|
ten minutes later I drove past that station again it was 3.79. Now oil has been right around 100 dollars for at least a week now, so this has nothing to do with the markets. If this is not price fixing I don't know what is.

7. What I Find Interesting Is That Back In The Fall Of 2010 There Were Predictions Of $5/Gal....... |

and that was well before any unrest broke out in the Mid East. Then all of a sudden - unrest in the MidEast and lo and behold - rising prices at the pump which in the Chicago area are right up to the $4.00/gal threshold and still going up.
This makes me suspicious. With my tinfoil hat firmly placed on top my head - I wonder whether the oil companies have (no pun intended) fueled the unrest?
I have to think that when they announce their quarterly profits - they will be a big benefactor of the rising prices.
