McConnell says "tax cut" bill is a step to "cutting off the spigot" of revenue,
so that the GOP can force the government to stop spending - of course, he is referring to social programs, not the 2 un-funded wars started by the republicans...Link:

Here we go...

3. Oh, there is certainly enough "credit" to go around...never a shortage of that,
is there? The Congressional Dems in the Bush II era seemed invisible, and they are not much better now...

15. He - and Boehner - have NEVER been shy about their intentions...or
their motivations. Boehner used to hand out lobbyist check to the GOPers on the House floor while they were in session...

They want to continue to expand the defecit while cutting income, and shut down the government, at least the useful parts - and blame the Democrats all the while.

Mr. Obama may be the only one in DC who doesen't know this!

18. Pure evil. Democrats need to be bold about tax INCREASES.
Edited on Tue Dec-14-10 10:25 AM by reformist2
At least as bold as the Republicans are about tax cuts. Not only is it the right thing to do, it's the fiscally responsible thing to do.

20. Repugs want a fiscal crisis, and are forcing gov't into bankruptcy.

Only in bankruptcy will they get to slash and burn government programs the way they want to. This is why Democrats shouldn't give them one more inch on ANY kind of tax cuts.
