I say surprising because the right-wing has made abortion enemy number one on their list. Hell, some of the more radical right-wingers, like Bobby Franklin, go even further. Franklin is the reich-wing douchebag who is seeking to make miscarriages a capital offense.

Perhaps their constant stream of lies is finally turning people off.

This is a pretty interesting poll that shows that far from moving more conservative, the population in the US seem to be moving progressive in many categories such as drug legalization, abortion and same-sex marriage with independents resembling, though not mirroring, Democrats more closely than they do Republicans.

1. That's because a lot of women have had abortions, possibly. It's a
godsend for many, and no pols should be involved in such a major, personal, heart wrenching decision.

2. Anti- Abortion Protesters Miss the Days When Women Were Afraid.
Afraid that they could be called a whore and a slut for having extra-marital sex.

3. Too Bad The Public Doesn't Count
I don't get the politicians, they oppose abortion while they are taking measures to starve and freeze the poor. I guess you only count in the womb, after that too bad.

5. America is not a right wing nation
even tho our politicians are funded by the right wingers like Koch and vote in ways that favor them, Americans do not agree with these actions.

...this reality is in line with the news that the wealthy are the ones who are represented by pols.

...this reality indicates that our representatives are not representing "we the people" very well at all.
