what you are seeing in WI is actually the beginnings of a closed society taking shape in a definite manner. To use a less technical term... a police state.
And the fun fact is... Americans are paying attention and they are not liking what they are seeing. Trust me, this is actually reverberating across society and is making many people start to rethink what they think of Republicans. Oh and kids this is also a CLASSIC case of OVERREACH.

a video from the cop car that pulled him over showing him speeding past the emergency vehicle with it's lights on, without moving over or slowing down. I'll take an idiot over a lier every time.

On May 2nd, 1933, the day after Labor day, Nazi groups occupied union halls and labor leaders were arrested. Trade Unions were outlawed by Adolf Hitler, while collective bargaining and the right to strike was abolished. This was the beginning of a consolidation of power by the fascist regime which systematically wiped out all opposition groups, starting with unions, liberals, socialists, and communists.

already.
Apparently until there are working death camps, we can't call them fascists. For myself, I figure that might be a little too late.

in the local library.
And yes, I got terribly depressed and my mother called Big Brother Big Sister because she "didn't know what to do with me". I guess not every nine year old girl knows what Canada and mussulman meant in camp slang and what the Sonderkommando did.
In the 21 years since, I've continued to research Nazi Germany. It is completely freaking obvious that we are seeing a repeat here.
People who call Godwin's Law on me will get their ass kicked. I've got 21 years of reading personal accounts of Nazi Germany to back me up.
I really don't understand why they think we're not allowed to talk about it until we're in a death camp. That's sort of letting the horse out to kill your whole family before you think about closing the barn door.
Well - maybe that's why. If we're allowed to talk about it, we might stop that horse from leaving.
Told my husband that. He added "or at least stop its murderous rampage". Which is true - it's already got a lot of dead Iraqis and Afghans to its name. And all the Americans who've died from lack of health care, lack of general needs being met, being worked more than they can handle, stress from living in the barn the horse fucked up, etc.

14. Thank you, Misty. I haven't done that much study on ......... |
|
the Nazi era, but I have done a good bit and you're right we ARE seeing a repeat.
As I often say, the Nazis didn't start OFF with death camps. There were innumerable in between steps between arresting communists and trade unionists and the death camps.
