For the first time in a long time I feel pretty damn good today
I still have my mountains of issues with the Obama administration but for the first time in a long time I can set those issues aside for a day and be happy about what the Obama administration accomplished. What happened today with the DADT repeal is the big fucking deal many of us have been waiting for. I think one of the reasons I was so angry at this administration was that I didn't think they would get this done. Thankfully they proved me wrong and no matter what issues we still have with the Obama administration I think this is something we can all celebrate together today.

So thank you president Obama for following through on this campaign promise, I think I speak for many when I say we didn't think it would get done.

3. I didn't think HCR would go anywhere under Obama.....
....that's why I was a Clinton primary supporter. My bad!

I like this president. He runs, he dunks, and he punks!

4. Don't celebrate too soon
Pentagon officials must first complete implementation plans before lifting the old policy — and the president, defense secretary and chairman of the joint chiefs must certify to lawmakers that it won't damage combat readiness, as critics charge. But Obama said: "We are not going to be dragging our feet to get this done."
