March 30 is Stay Home for America day!

http://www.intrepidreport.com/archives/872

We’re calling for a nationwide sick-out on March 30! A work-stoppage might FINALLY get the point across that WE are the people who run this country, NOT the people with the money and the privilege! Let’s see how they like it when things come to a screeching halt.

No marching in the street. No fire-bombs. No rubber bullets. If you’re a nonessential worker, just don’t show up for work. Don’t show up for school. Don’t go shopping. Stay at home, and read a book . . . ! Take a walk to the park . . . do anything you want, except don’t SPEND any money, or MAKE money for these thieves! What’re they gonna do . . . come looking for three hundred and ten million people, and march us back to work or school? One way or another, we are going to get their attention!

The people who ‘own’ this country have created a situation where we are all so scared of our own shadows, that we don’t even THINK about civil disobedience.

We realize the gravity of people’s situations all across this land . . . and we’re thinking that this is a relatively safe way to vent some of that pressure. Without a ‘safe’ way to act out, we’re afraid that when push DOES come to shove, it’s not going to be pretty.

Right now, our country is becoming like a pressure-cooker, and if that top blows, it’s really going to be messy. It was thought that this is a fairly safe way to send a message without having anyone get hurt.

If you can’t join us in taking a day off, be sure you still spread the word!

Remember . . . ‘United We Stand, Divided We Beg!’

----------------------

will americans do this? will enough americans do this?

too many americans live lives only knowing sports, entertainment and/or family doings. haven't a clue about anything else. and prefer aggresively not to know more.

6. Don't buy anything --
that day isntead. That is what I am doing to participate, and also wearing a solidarity shirt. My boss and company are fantastic, so I will not punish them by staying home.

4. Sound good to me

I work at home, I wouldn't mind the day off.. This really reminds me of when I was in High School and we all agreed to walk out of school at the same time. The entire student body did. It was over the firing of a Teacher we all loved.. Not sure that it actually worked, but seeing 500 plus students walk out of school at 9:45 in the morning was pretty amazing. I don't recall if it made the newspapers, but it probably did.

But There is a reason we have a LABOR DAY. If All Americans took the day off..(With the Exception of Emergency services) and no one came in to work, America would grind to a halt.. and people at the top would look around and definitely say "ut oh!" Its time America appreciated the American worker again.

5. I support the idea, but there must be millions who can't afford to lose
a day's pay (fast food industry, etc.)I hope enough people can do it to make a difference.

11. Even if everyone went to work
on that day, not spending any money would send a clear message. Politicians keep telling us to buy things to help the economy, then they let Wall Street rob us blind and take money out of our pockets that we need to just get by on. I'm retired, but I'll refrain from buying anything that day. I've already cut my expenses down to the bare minimum anyway. I look to buy used items before I buy them new. I go to dollar stores before I go to the grocery store. I switched to a credit union. When I think of anything else I can do, I'll do it.
